as in, am I biting off more than? Started the reading for LIS:768. I’m already behind as the first class met yesterday. Every article leads me to another article that I need to read. Besides the history of Library Science, which was my primary research topic when I started, I need to consider how Library 2.0 (L2) is important for MY library, which involves the discussion that the Life Sciences division is having currently about the new gateway page for the UIUC Library (which should have been ready before fall semester started, but isn’t) among other things. My library is a departmental library outside the main library building and we are part of a division comprised of a handful of related departmental libraries. I also need to consider how all of this will enhance my performance as a staff member in my library, as I am not technically a librarian. (I’ll try to not harp on that fact but librarians at UIUC are faculty and staff are in non-academic civil service positions.)
